      Plymouth Police Department
      Honor Guard

          Honor Respect Integrity

After countless hours of training, the Plymouth Police Department has installed it's first Honor Guard, which was presented to the City Council on May 10th, 2005. The Honor Guard led the City Council in the Pledge of Allegiance. A brief ceremony took place where the Honor Guard presented Deb Kiser, whose husband, Army Reserve Staff Sergeant Chuck Kiser, was killed in Iraq on June 24, 2004, with a plaque honoring her generous donation in memory of her late husband, to make the dream of an Honor Guard come true. Now retired Police Chief of Police Donn Davis was also presented a plaque for his support, leadership and a donation in memory of his late brother. The ceremony ended with a Proclamation designating May 15th as Peace Officers’ Memorial Day and the week of May 15th as National Police Week. The Proclamation was presented to the Honor Guard by the former Mayor Kiley.

The purpose of the Honor Guard is to represent the Plymouth Police Department, its officers and families at funerals and other ceremonial events. The Honor Guard extends pride and to demonstrate allegiance to our chosen profession.
