Motorcycle Patrol Unit

The Plymouth Police Department Motorcycle Patrol Unit has been in operation since the summer of 2000 through a program offered by Harley Davidson Motorcycles. The Police Department receives it's motorcycle from Suburban Harley Davidson of Thiensville, WI.

The Motorcycle patrol is a supplement to the squad car. It is used for public relations events, such as parades and assumes a role of traditional patrol with the motor officers responding to calls and carrying out traffic enforcement responsibilities.

We are currently operating a 2007 Harley Davidson Road King/Police. All Motor Officers assigned to the unit attend motorcycle training before they can assume patrol duties with the cycle and receive refresher course training updates each year.
